Media Room Part Deux 10/22/05

So we started by finishing up the first wall and some finishing touches on the soffit. That went pretty smooth I must say then I realize we didn't do the fireblocking for that wall with the window. Then again, that whole wall is hosed. There is no fireblocking by the electric box either so if there's fire, it's shooting up to the 2nd floor regardless.


The next 2 walls reflected how sloppy we got even though we were moving fast. One wall for some reason, we measured/cut some of the studs too short which resulted in one end of the wall higher than the other. DOH! The last wall for the day was once again too high so we had to take off the top plate and hack off 1/2 an inch. Boy, that electric hack saw is paying for itself. So here's the final picture of the media room 2/3 of the way complete. Not bad for 6 hours of work.
