Double Header weekend 10/15/05 and 10/16/05

This is the first weekend we managed to work on the basement for 2 days in a row.

I'm excited because we begin the work on the media room. The first thing we decided to work on was the 12 foot wall. Only problem was when we build it, we realized that it would be easier to build out the soffit.


After finishing the soffit, we discovered that the wall was to tall. DOH! What happened to our calculations?! What happened to this blog with the double spacing now?! Oh wells, we took off the top plate and hack sawed an inch off. It was not fun but we managed to hammer in the wall. It's not going anywhere soon.


Ain't she a thing of beauty? Dispite the F' ups we keep getting, the wall went up pretty leveled all the way. Does anyone know how to get rid of this double spacing after the picture? Oh wells, back to the basement. So like I said, things started rolling because well, we're better at this now. So the next wall in the media room, we built a window box. Our first ever. Only prob, it's not leveled on the bottom of the box! DOH! Oh wells, we can fix that later.


Oh wells, so here's what the media room looks like so far. We have to finish the wall next weekend and also continue the rest of the way around the room.
